This is a discussion thread for the following file:

Lots of solar energy systems (mainly photovoltaic, probably grid-tied) at the cities:

Konstanz, Untersee, Allmannsdorf, Litzelstetten, Dingelsdorf and Dettingen.

"# a person or animal that is markedly unusual or deformed
    # freak out: lose one's nerve; "When he saw the accident, he freaked out"
    # addict: someone who is so ardently devoted to something that it resembles an addiction; "a golf addict"; "a car nut"; "a bodybuilding freak"; "a news junkie"

    # Nowadays, "freak" more colloquially refers to people who are physically normal (usual number of limbs and organs, etc.) but otherwise odd. Think Napoleon Dynamite in the eponymous film, or Ally sheedy's character in The Breakfast Club, or indeed the obviously titled TV show, Freaks and Geeks. In a mutational sense, "freak" has taken on a highly un-PC connotation. ...

    # A human oddity on exhibition in a museum or in a circus or carnival side show. Early circuses also displayed some featured freaks in their menageries. A practice followed by Ringling Barnum (with all side show attractions) in Madison Square Garden until the move to the Penn Station Garden.

    # an abnormal, usually non-repetitive occurrence in the production of stamps. Most paper folds (see above), overinking, ink smears, and perforation shifts are freaks. Those abnormalities occurring regularly are called varieties or major errors. Freak (perforation shift)

    Red face

If you get the first one, you can re-arrange it:
    "persons that are markedly unusual"...

    But we're talking about NATIONS.
Germany, Japan (In the case of photovoltaics), Spain, Denmark, Costa Rica (In the case of wind energy, plus Germany -again-), Israel (In the case of solar thermal) and some other countries joined to the renewable energies.
And a USA state (California) also joined this way of generate electricity.

If lots of persons use it, can we call them "unusual" or "freak"?

To bad the rest of the US can't jump on this band wagon. If it keeps up like it is there want be much to look at in GE. I say if using renewable resources makes me a freak than I am a freak.
