    This village is (was) called Breunsdorf. It was replaced by a lignite reduction.

    I dont know if this is the right expression...In Germany you say "Braunkohleabbau".

    instead of all these long words, cant you just say what it was replaced by (power station/ warhouses etc.) please

    Braunkohleabbau Google translated as "brown coal dismantling", but I think "coal strip mine" would be accurate enough for our English speakers.
