This recon image shows the two bridges over the River Kwai, on the north bank the work camp can be see.

This image was taken late 1944.

One of my favorite war movies. And the theme from the movie is known by allmost everyone, young and old, they can all whistle it even know they don't know where it's from.

In Denmark we use the tune the tune when we are out drinking. The text in danish is so: Tjener, vi vil ha' mere øl........ In english like so: Waither, we want more beer.

By the way, my cellular phone has the tune as chime too.
