Black mound in South America discussion

Black mound in South America

I came across this round black thing in Northeastern Chile that looks out of place. The area is snowy and mountainous, but this thing is round and black with a smaller round shape in the middle, not unlike a nipple.

No idea what it is but I like it.

It doesn't show up with the vulcano layer, but it is in the middle of several vulcanoes.

It appears to be a volcano. Don't know the name.

This mound it's a little volcano call "Cerro Poruñita", with 3868 meters above sea level, near Ollagüe.

The large extensions with white color are Salt Plains, named "Salares". That features are common in the "Altiplano" of Bolivia, Peru, Chile and Argentina. The nearest salar to Cerro Poruñita is called "Carcote" or "San Martin". To the south is the "Ascotán" salar.
