This is a discussion thread for the following file:
East Troy Electric Railroad This is the electrified route of the East Troy Electric Railroad, the last remaining approximately 5.5-mile stretch of the long defunct TMER&L (The Milwaukee Electric Rail & Light) interurban service. In 2007, the ETER celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the opening of line from Milwaukee to East Troy. Visitors may enjoy rides aboard vintage interurbans that ran on the North and South Shore lines, on elevated cars such as those of the Chicago Transit Authority, or on street cars such as those of the Milwaukee system or PCC cars running elsewhere. Numerous cars are on display in the carbarn open to the public as is a museum, depot and gift shop. Visitors travel from around the world to enjoy a ride in the Wisconsin countryside and take a trip to nostalgia-land, too!

Take a virtual ride on the East Troy Electric Railroad! As this is a path, select the file, then the play button: GE will whisk you on a journey along the 100-year old electric line from the Depot & Museum to its usual stop at the Elegant Farmer in nearby Mukwonago.
Then, when you are in the East Troy area, pay a real visit to the ETER Museum and hop aboard to compare to GE!
