If you can convert your CSV into XML, you can import the list very easily.
To figure out the XML schema, just create a few temporary places and then save them out (select KML as the file type, not KMZ). Take a look at the KML file and then you can write a little script that will convert your CSV data into "KML", which is really just straight XML. Change the filename to .kml and then load it up in GE. Hope that helps, T |

Hi,
I have the same Problem: how to convert csv (=Excel-Export) into kml. I have no Idea, what you mean when you write "write little Script". How to do so? What kind of Program? Is there a Way to canibalize Excel to Export the Data as a xml-File in a Way that it has simple to be renamed into *.kml? Regards, Roger as "hedgehog" |
