This is a discussion thread for the following file:

Huge Plane in Flight

This monster is 328 feet from tail to tip, bigger then a Boeing 747-400 and even an Airbus A380. It's either a secret plane, or flying really high up.

I did turn on the GEC layer, but got back a result saying "ANA" which meant absolutely nothing to me, and a post by Cyclonic saying, "B747-300. Delta102".

When objects are flying high - don't try to measure them, you will get a totally wrong result.

I know.. =)
It's fun to see how distorted they get though..

No, it IS a japanese ANA Jumbo Jet. You see the red dott used by japanese flight companies and you see the blue colours on the sides as on the photo on Photizo's link.

With some serious trigonometry. You'd have to know altitude of aircraft, altitude of camera, angle between the aircraft and camera, etc. etc.

Or I guess you could just compare the dimensions of the aircraft at altitude vs. that same aircraft type on the ground.
