Attaching .kmz files to forum messages

I see some people are able to attach a .kmz file to forum messages, but when I tried it failed, think it something to do with the extention...

Can someone enlighten me?

People have been linking to them rather than directly attaching them.

I just went ahead and enabled KML and KMZ in the file attachment options. However, please continue to add your files to our main file area, as that's where the vast majority of people go to get files.

here is an icon for the kmz files...

...just put it in "/images/attach/"

Just some times the .kmz is only relavent to one thread. I don't think you guys really want 500 "What is this" type .kmz in your downloads?

Or is there another way we should be sharing these sort of locations?
