Default MP3 player problem

Hi there

My mp3 player is crazy. The first 12 songs play very well, but the other files won't play. The bit rate is shown as 000, but in my PC these songs are flawless. Textfiles work nice, it is still a good pendrive.

Any help? Thanks!

Hello, not sure how good a help us GE people will be compared to the websites dedicated to mp3s, but I'll give it a go.

First, what mp3 player is it. Second, what music software (itunes, winamp, etc) do you use. Third, what kind of computer is it. And fourth, is the song file, which I might look through later.. (don't post it here though, it's too big, and seems glitchy).

Thanks Spider X22

The MP3 is an Ashtar (it seems to be one of those small Asian companies). I won it on a promotion held by my credit card company. The song files are perfect, they play normally on my computer (I use Windows Media Player) and on my sister's MP3 (thats why I thinks the songfiles are ok). I think it is a fabrication glitch. The warranty is still valid, so I'll try to change it if nothing works.

Yea, in that case (especially since it works on your sister's mp3), it's gotta be your mp3. Go with the warranty, it's probably your best best.

Try this.
1) Remove the files that won't play from the MP3 player.
2) Make 2-3 copies of the files that will play with different names.
3) Upload the copies to the MP3 player. If they work, then for some reason your MP3 player doesn't support the original files that didn't work. Maybe your MP3 player doesn't like VBR or something.

Try MP3Test on your files, to see if they are really ok.

(There's an "english short summary")
