Default ISS Track (incl. Shuttle if available) discussion

This is a discussion thread for the following file:

ISS Track (incl. Shuttle if available)

This network link reads every 3 minutes the position of the ISS and the shuttle from the NASA page and displays it in Google Eart.

Features:

- last 5 orbits are back tracked

- viewing range of the ISS is added

- after seperation of the ISS and the shuttle, the shuttle will get its own track

This patch is great! Congratulations.

Although it would be better if you could make the refresh intervals in 30secs or 1min.

Default ISS tracking

I'm having trouble getting this to work. The ISS seems to be permanently over the coast of West Africa. Is this program still working, or am i doing something wrong?

Yes, it's strange, either the program has a problem or it is the ISS which has has a problem.

Default no tracking of ISS possible

NASA has terminated the connection to the information for tracking the ISS. I have not heard yet about other solutions.

Yes it was. I saw the same thing over a couple years ago. The ISS and shuttle had separated about three hours before then and they were still flying in formation a few miles apart. It was very impressive to see them like this, two bright dots in the evening sky moving together.

Any news about the ISS tracker?
Is there any possibility, that it will work again?
