This is a discussion thread for the following file:
747 on SCL final approach Apparently a KLM on final approach on SCL (Santiago, Chile) Estimated height at this range would be close to 600 ft.

The other B474 at the beginning of the runway is normaly on airports. Ok, it is a bit close to the runway, but in save distance to the incoming one. It would be better waiting at the taxiway.
When you look around the world, you see much of aircrafts which wait at this position. |

For some reason when I downloaded this file to see this plane GE zooms in to a blank area. The target sybmol apprears with a line drawn from it pointing to the ground, but no plane in site. Has the mapping been updated since this was found?

The file is pretty old, more than a year. Google is updating its pictures from time to time, so.... the 747 is gone...
