Default I can not upload.

Everytime I try to upload my file, I get:

NZ LINZ Data.kmz
Add a file
Error: Invalid characters found in title of your file.

Only English characters are allowed, and the only punctuation allowed are commas, periods, dashes, question marks and parenthesis.

I've renamed it to so many different names, including one char names. Still the same error. Any idea?

Hi biship, welcome to GEH.

It's correct you can only use the english letters A-Z and the punctuations , . : - and ( )

It would be helpful for us to see what you would call your file. Then we can help.

What's the full name of your file? Also, what are you putting in for the title? Last thing, how big is your file?

This message is probably for the "title" you're putting in for the file, not necessary for the actual filename.

Your file name is OK.

Are you sure there aren't ant german umlaute or any punctuations you are not allowed to use in Title of file?

You have placed in Site Issues and Questions, that we normally use for existing files or files that has been denied etc. I placed it here because of your question to try to teach you how to make your file.

There is nothing wrong with your file. I have tried it.

It doesn't matter what letters and symbols you use in a kmz file

If you look at my atachment you have to enter a name for your file where is says Title of file above. Here you may NOT use other than the letters A-Z and only punctuation allowed are commas, periods, dashes, question marks and parenthesis.

In Description you tell users about your file

Then you choose Category by clicking the arrow and scrolling down to Wacation locations.

Then you choose State where it's located and again goes down to Non US/Various.

Then you choose Country where it's located and gp down again and chose New Zealand.

Finally you upload your kmz file and click on Submit.

That should work for you.

Ok thanks, tried for the 27 thousand time and got it right this time. I must of had a non-allowed character in the title. Bah.
