This is a discussion thread for the following file:

a building in the middle of the highway

Is it a joke???

It´s not a joke!!!

Is it a Google Earth mistake?'

There´s no mistake, in any way!!

Is it possible??

It´s possible in the country where it´s built!!

And where is it?

In the center of Osaka, Japan.

During the years 80, the municipality of Osaka needed the little "land" situated where the building today take place, for the construction of the highway. The owner didn´t want to sell it at any price. Even, he wanted to construct a new building. that´s the reason why...

Every problem got a solution.

At any moment, the highway touch the walls of the building. No vibrations, any noise or sounds, there´s a kind of tunel around the highway.

By the way, nobody live in the building,it´s only offices.

if you got PANORAMIO in your Google Earth, click on one of them called "confluence" situated at the top of this round building.Very impressive!

Another way: on your Toolbar, write "http://www.lejapon.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9556". it´s a french blog, but you don´t need to speak the Molière language to see a couple of photos of the building-highway.

Thank you for the streetview you post me this morning.
I never post something on streetview, and I never see it. (a so fiew...)
It seems that it´s not possible to "travel" inside it.
Does somebody post something about the building in streetview?

In my Spanish version, there is absolutely NOTHING!

I'm assuming you are trying to move around in the StreetViews? Look at the road you are on, there should be white arrows going up and down the streets..click on those to move backwards and forwards. Alternatively, there is a minimap in the bottom right corner of the screen. Click and drag the little orange figure (with a green base) around to another road (it has to be highlighted blue) to move there.

Look at image 1 then image 2.
