This is a discussion thread for the following file:
Mysterious hole in china situated at 1km from the Taiyuan satellite launch center, itīs possible to observe a 28meters diameter hole a the top of a mountain. In fact, if you look more closely, at about one kilometer north of the hole, thereīs something similar. It seems to be a water tank. Would it be another one under construction? Ideas, suggests, opinions welcome.

If You go Straight South of the hole you will find the opening to the Rock System-where rockets are transferred from the center to the left . The same system is used for serving submarines-RockHangars are common-however this one is real GOOD !

Hello vikingrover!
thanks for your reply. Iīm not a specialist about rockets, but, what is your opinion about this place? itīs situated at a little less than 3 kms from the hole, north-north-west. 38 52ī 39 39" N 111 35ī 35 48" E In my opinion, the south "parking" is the place for the entrance of what is under the north "parking". It looks like a gigantic horizontal door open with a hole under it. would it have something underground? bye! |

I would say that it might not be a water tank 1km north, maybe it is a nuclear missile silo opening doors so the rocket can escape the silo and that hole could
be as you say a pressure valve, but i suppose if it was nuclear it would have to be quite a large rocket. And it was probably soviet built, as the red army didn't use many silos just missiles on the back of trucks/lorries, like the soviet union, but the soviet union used silos also. Probably built around cold war time, thats assuming that it is a nuclear missile silo not something else!

maybe a diamond mine, or a mine of some sort. or a "discreet" missile silo, though that is unlikely.

I don't see the exhaust portal due south but, I think it may be a silo under construction. 1 km north (and 2 more @ 6 km south, s & sw of Wuli Ping) are cisterns I think but, this is too deep. It would make a GREAT water tank but, only a government would excavate on this scale. Christian's find surely does look like a silo complex. 3 seperate 'parking' areas & the north one looks pretty obvious to me (though I've been wrong before). Entry probably through small, red roofed building. South may be the same but hard to see & identify because of the glare. Third pad (east) is darker. Possibly 2 silos & a control center/barracks ?
