This is a discussion thread for the following file:
Chuquicamata mine, Chile The Atacama Desert in the north of the country contains major reserves of copper, gold, silver and industrial metals, it is the heart of Chile's mining industry. Chile's copper mines provide over 30% of the world's mine production of recoverable copper, according to to statisctics of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

You can't really tell from the thumbnail, but this mine is probably the best "hole" I've seen on GE. There's really quite a big hole in the earth where the mine is, and GE renders it quite well. Check it out.

Yeah, in fact its the biggest hole (pit) on eath (non natura)
I have been there and I can tell that from above people (and giant trunks) sees like ants After all its the biggest mine on world (on land) |
