Singapore please- and Bombay.

Please could we have Singapore. I am, unfortunately, right on top of it, and if I could move I would. But it is an important trading capital in the world, and rather than making sure all of the tiniest towns in the US are done, concentrate on the big cities around the globe. Also, could there be a Bombay.

I know Singapore was turned down earlier, but it's a CITY STATE! How can you say no to a city state twice?

Its a country! (I should know, I was born there) It gained independence from Malaysia in 1965, The country is called Singapore, and the city is called Singapore City.. Read this if you dont believe me

I lived there for seven years, I know too! Plus, it is a great trade hub in the world, and when further industries come in, it will probably get tax income.

I'm going to add Singapore, but I'm having a hard time finding the population for the city proper - not the whole country. Any links?

There really isn't a city proper. There are different areas like the central business district, Jurong, Little India, and so on, but you really have to look at them the same way as Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, and the other boroughs of New York.

Wikipedia says 4,425,720 and the CIA Factbook says 4,425,720, so I guess that counts as corroboration. Either that, or Wikipedia uses the Factbook's information.

That'll work. One other question - what should I call it? In most cases I use "City, Country". For the US I use "City, State, USA".

Should I call it "Singapore City, Singapore", just "Singapore", or something else?

Technically, it's the Republic of Singapore (the city and the country), but just Singapore would do. If you need a comma, you could call it Singapore, Singapore.

I found http://www.odci.gov/cia/publications...elds/2119.html in the search section of CIA Factbook. But, this is population for countries. How did you find population for cities?
