Battle of Hastings 1066 The place where 1066 Willem the concerer defeated and killed Harold Godwinson, the last Saxon King of England, and destroyed his army, opening England to the Norman conquest.

The Battle of Hastings was not fought in Hastings it was fought in Battle.

What dont you get ,

The picture in the .kmz seems to show the coastline where William the Conqueror landed...I've heard, though, that the rates of erosion in the Devonian chalk cliffs in this region are so significant that the actual point of landing should now be located a bit offshore.
