Talking Any other NON-Kids in this game?

I am over 50; gamer from the DOS days; any other older gamers on board?
I gather there are a lot of younger gamers on as they have 48 hours to amass thousands of troops ... eh Stanley? Some of us have a life, and this is just a captured few minutes during breaks in a hectic day at the office .. any others?

Any way of getting the Junior Member thing replaced; I haven't been small enough to be a junior in 30 plus years!!!!

better take it as a compliment, that u are still referred as 'junior'

The Junior Member title goes away after a specific number of posts (which I can't remember right now).

And I have a similar problem in that I can't spend a lot of time gathering jewels and beefing up my armies. But for me that adds to the challenge. That forces me to make strategic decisions based on the fact that my resources are limited. You just have to make the best of what you have.

Beezer is correct - it's based on the number of posts that you have. Specifically...

0-29 posts = "Junior Member"
30-99 posts = "Member"
100+ posts = "Senior Member"

Those are just the default settings in this message board software. We may tweak them (or add other categories) as time goes on.

Default hey

Dear Roger Andrew,
What do you mean by game? If your talking about Google Earth that is a program and NOT a game. GEwar however is a game interface using Google Earth. I may be only 13, but when you go into video game history don't even get me started on consoles. Ralpgh Baer was the all time creator of video games just so you know. The Oddesey was the first gaming system and The Brown Box was the first turn dial gaming system both of which were made and designed by Ralph Baer. Thanks,Hypeserver-Your friendly gamer

We're in the GEwar forum, so it's assumed he's talking about that. Ease up.

Roger Andrew, I'm your new neighbor! Set up my home base next to yours.
I'm 24 years old, a construction worker.
Maybe we can form an alliance?

I would venture a guess that there are already alliances in the game, just not ones that are public knowledge.

Cool bubbling under the surface

Yeh, too many places seem to get whacked by someone (attacked, nuked) but then taken over by someone else. There's alliances out there mate, you need to do some smoozing , sorry there's no brown tongue emoticon!

Default I am the Nuker; I confess

Sorry guys: had to make Nukes a non-issue, by moving out the largest sites that did not have a shield in place.

Once everywhere has shields in place Nuclear is pasee and we are all playing with numbers of soldiers only. Got to see if that changes the game or not.

Also:

THere are some treaties in place ( I have two) ... primarily non-combat, so work that out?

Roger

PS I won't be attempting to take over cities tha have just been nuked, I won't be at my computer at that time .... the're up for grabs!
