After a bit of hacking around today I managed to shift the existing Google API/blogs mashup from Blogwise into Google Earth (kml - open in Earth)
It seems to work fairly well - the data is accurate and 150 blogs at a time coming in over broadband is fairly painless. The formatting and text rendering, particularly in dense areas, is a bit untidy but presumably I can format the text or otherwise just shorten the name tag in the KML? Your thoughts and comments would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Sven |

Just a note of appreciation; an excellent and imaginative idea.
I see what you mean as far as the text label size is concerned, but still useful. |
