Default Where is the titanic?

Can anyone pinpoint the location of the two sunken halfs of the the titanic ship?
If your curious what I mean "halfs" when the titanic sunk it broke into two hlafs aroung 120 miles from each part. The titanic broke into 2 on the way down when sinking.

Here's a cool site for anyone interested in The Titanic - http://www.titanic.com/

There will be a great show on Sunday on the Discovery Channel.

Oh - and according to this site on April 14, 1912, the Titanic struck ice and sunk in latitude 41º 46' North longitude, 50º 14' West, early April 15.

Also, it's so far under water (a few miles, I believe) that there's no way you could see it on here. Still, a placemark with the location might be kind of cool.

41° 46'00.00"N, 50°14'00.00"W is where the Titanic went down.

http://www.googleearthhacks.com/foru...do=file&id=630 is where the kmz file can be found on GEH.

dude thats hilirous a few miles try more like 1500 miles down in the atlantic ocean and yes I saw the file someone currently posted but they have a miscaculation they only have one location. the titanic split into two peices so I sinking point is inacurate. and that discovery channel document I saw the commercial and I will watch it. I just love the titanic I've seen 150 documentations and have read 67 books on the titanic. and own 17 of those books.

You might enjoy this site hypeserver - The Grave of the Titanic - they mention "Bob Ballard released the coordinates of the Titanic's location. He recorded her coordinates as, stern section sits on ocean floor at 41o43'35" N, 49o56'54" W, boilers at 41o43'32" N, 49o56'49" W, bow at 41o43'57" N, 49o56'49" W."

Huh? No. Just over two (2) miles down. 3800 meters if you want to be more precise. I'm quite sure the ocean doesn't reach 1500 miles down at any point. Here's the reference for you:

The two parts are only 600 meters apart (1,970 feet, to be exact), not quite 150 miles. Therefore, a single point on Google Earth is probably good enough, especially since you can't see anything on there anyhow. Once again, reference:

ok ok I admit I'm remembering different numbers from different things, but still I would of preferred 2 points.

Default Titanic Mock up

Anyone know where this is. I believe they built a HUGE model in Mexico for some of the filming.

In Google Earth Make sure your Grid is on check the view tab, make sure your facing north and mouse over the Co Ordinates 41-43-35North and 49-56-54West it helps if you keep paning in or using zoom try keep these coordinates when you zoom in i.e keep on 41North and 49West using the grid and to a certain point you will see a placement mark from Wiliki, if you keep zooming in until you hit the sea bed you can see the pictures of the ship in both parts if this helps

Another reason I'm loving the new ocean views. Looking down at the tiny models of the Titanic wreckage through the impossibly crystal-clear water from just above the surface gave me a much more acute understanding of how far down she is than the numbers and figures ever could. Not 1500 miles, sure, but still, wow.
.
.
.
This is where you tell me that the scale of the ocean depth in that area is all screwed up and I actually acutely understand bupkus
