You mean you don't use the search function?

I use the search function in Google Earth. Otherwise it's impossible to collect jewels fast enough. They would have to be worth 20Geo's a piece :|

I think the issue zorro is having is that you use the search function, but it doesn't take you to teh city.
Example = Bogota, Colombia If you enter it into the search field (spelled correctly of course) the spot GE takes you is several hundred miles north of the actual Bogota. There are several cities like this. |

You dont even have to do a search on the cities. Just double-click the city that is loaded with the GEcities kml file. It takes you to the right spot and all you have to do is zoom in. Combine this with a good connection speed and the fastest setting in the Fly/To options in GE and you can collect 5 to 6 jewels a minute without using a script. I saw a post that said a script is getting 50 jewels in 6 minutes. This gets you 30 to 40 without help in that same time. It isnt quite as effective but it lessens the gap. The problem is that there is still a lot of clicking and typing versus the script.

For me its faster to just use the internal browser and quickly copy the destination and paste it in the 'Fly to'. Just enter and I'm there.
Take's me 2 seconds. |
