Map overlay on Google Earth

Is there anyway to overlay the street maps from maps.google on to the top of Google Earth? It would be great to switch from real view to map view.

I don't think there is, althought someone may come up with a creative way to do it somehow.

You do know about the "roads" feature of Google Earth, don't you? It looks different than Google Maps, but still gives you all of the roads and such.
