Hi,
I just found this site today. Fantastic, I have loads of questions. The molst importamt one being, DOes one require special software to make kmz/kml files please? regards tony |

Hi tony,
welcome to GEH. You just need 'Google Earth' to create .kmz/.kml files. Just fly to the spot you wanna save, click the 'Placemark' button on the bottom right of the screen, enter name, description etc and then right click on the new placemark in 'Places' - 'Temporary Places' and choose 'Save as...' and you are done!

Thanks Steeefan,
I can fly to loads of places and see arial photos of the area. However when I fly to my area, around Bristol U.K. all I can see is a blurred image or blocky pixels. Any idea's on what I am doing wrong please? regards tony |

You aren't doing anything wrong, it's just that this area is not available in hi-res. You have to wait until Google updates your area with newer photos.

Oh my god I'm dying...
You will also see also loads of posts from me on this site, even more than from hypeserver. Now guess how proud I'm of that matter of fact. It's totally awesome to have more posts than the former #1 poster of this site. You really should try reaching this point beyond hypeserver, it really makes you feel and sleep better.

Can you super poster guts possibly advise me when google plan to provide hi-res photos of the uk.
They already exist, memory map an UK OS mapping software sells aerial photos of the whole of the UK. CAn you help please? |

Earth Quake in Pakistan
Google if can please provide updated high resolution pictures of Northern Areas of Pakistan to help the people still trapped in the areas and to help people who are there waiting for help. It would help in identifying the areas and reach the needy people. Please GOOGLe need a promp response. Waiting for a prompt response. A concerned Pakistani
