Default Vertical Takeoff?

Found this at an airport in Huntsville.

Appears to have a 3 bladed prop on top.

You can see the shadow of the prop.

An ideas?

Thanks

It looks like a helicopter to me. Maybe a Chinook.

I beat Scotty by mere miliseconds. She needs more power, Captain.

Thanks,

Should have thought of that.

By the way, I think this is Fort Bragg.

Very interesting to fly around, many bunkers, tanks etc.

Also seems to be some places with "whiteout" to obsure them

If you turn on the airport button, you'll see that it's the Redstone Air strip. For you Huntsville fans, you've got Marshall (NASA) Flight Center, the Redstone Proving Grounds and the home of DARPA all in that little town. It's where the military dropped Werner Von Braun and a 100 others after WW2.

:-)
