More Sightseeing Categories

The sightseeing category is growing very quickly, and I'm thinking we need to add more categories. The question is, should I start breaking things down by state or by type of object.

For example, we could have "Government Buildings", "Mountains", etc, or we could just group things by state. Thoughts?

Am I missing something? I couldn't find a sightseeing thread/catagory.

I'm sorry - I wasn't very clear. I meant the sightseeing category in the files section.

I've reworked it to be organized by sight type, rather than location. I figured many people don't know what country various things are found in, so it would be better to have it sorted this way. Also, some categories (like "United States") were getting quite full. I think this will give us an easier way to split things into more and more separate categories.

Thoughts?

It would be ideal to have different sorting possibilities.
So You can classify something by its properties as well as by its geographic location.
Perhaps there are more criteria - but those two are obvious.

Let's take Stonehenge for example (which regrettably is not shown high-quality).
This is a MUST for several categories like "famous buildings", "huge man-made structures" and so on - and as well for a category "south england".
Anyone travelling there would look for the region, liking to be reminded that this great site is nearby.

While other minor sightseeings will perhaps only be in some regional category, because there are to trivial to be included in some of the important categories.

i think vBulletin only allows one category per file although it definetly would be useful. let's stay with ordering it by sight type

i think youj should probably go by state it would make less catagories plus then if there was a state category we could upload were places are in our hometowns.
