Military base or ... ?

Nice square - nice piece of work ;-). I think it is a military base due to the shanties in the west and a "palace" for her "highness" in the east! Take a look!

It cant be military base, there are no military vehicles or landing places for helicopters. It looks rather like some factory, maybe secret factory.

Algeria's nuclear program is based around Birin, the closest town.

If you zoom right in you will see double fencing etc.

Follow the road out and up to a very large radio tower.

If you zoom out to about 125 miles you can see this is the only hi res coverage in the area.

Indeed, Algeria's nuclear/biological programs are based around Birin, I wouldn't be surprised if this was a base that got caught on "candid camera" or even a potential terror training camp.

Something else I JUST noticed:

Pointer: 35 30'46.27" N 3 04'35.14"E appears to house what MAY have been an underground nuclear test?????

dont know why nations have a nuclear project.... cant they buy enough nuclear weapons @ east europe? ex Soviet Union
