Default Online KMZ Viewer

Hi,

as an Linux-user I can't use Google Earth, so I've hacked a small script that is able to show Placemarks from .kmz files via Google Maps Api.

The script runs here: http://maps.daemlich.net/
Because I'm unable to create some real kmz/kml files i would be happy to get some testing on this. So, anyone who who has some time and likes to play around a bit just paste an url to some .kmz file (like http://maps.daemlich.net/multi.kmz) into the URL-Box and hit "Go".
The script should add markers on the map and fill the select-box with all placemarks from your .kmz.

If a file does not work, make sure it contains a placemark and feel free to mail it to ne-geh@nicoerfurth.de

It would also be nice if you can provide me with some advanced .kmz files, maybe with overlays or whatever GoogleEarth supports.

This script is very beta, so it may break on some input.

TIA,
Nico

Seems like it's not always parsing the <name> and <description> fields into the text box.

Other than that, very cool. I like it.

Thanks for testing!

@ink_polaroid: do you have some sample file that triggers the parsing problem?
And, which browser do you use? This thing is largely JS-based and i could only test it with FireFox/Linux.
