its only the major towns marked out with placemarks, as opposed to the path itself. its also only the main route, not the connecting routes, or eurasian steppe route. hope this helps you out anyway... i am about to embark on the silk road through google earth for the next hour or so. a journey that one took years... |

I have been relocating silk road archaeological sites for over a year. I have locations of perhaps fifty in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Sogdia, Bactria, Xingiang, etc. From from Xi'an to Constantinopole and Rome. Exchange data?

The jewel you are looking for is hidden away in the Sikkim region of India on the Indian/Chinese border right next to Bhutan. Took me ages to find too.
