I would also like to know what this is. It is situated near Nel'kan in the Khabarovsk region. But I wasn't able to find any information in the internet.

As I read in a post, I don't remember where:
"If it seems almost too perfect to be a volcano, it is. It took some 'digging' to find, but it turns out that this is the 'Konder or Kondyor Massif' a rare form of igneous intrusion called a alkaline - ultrabasic massif, and it's full of rare minerals. I think you struck gold! The river flowing out of forms a placer mineral deposit. Last year 4 tons of Platimum were mined there. This intrusion bored it way through roughly 5000 miles of mantle over a billion years ago before it came to rest here just below the surface. Over time the crust eroded away leaving this perfectly circular mountain with a stream flowing out from its center. The rim is composed of harder minerals and has resisted erosion. The entire intrusion is circurlarly zoned with distinct minerals found at different distances from the center." |
