Default What type of airplane please

Not sure what this plane is.

It the only one at large base in England.

If you zoom out you will see that it looks like they housed heavy bombers here.

Also a baseball diamond so I guess a US presence at some stage.

Thanks.

There is no doubt to me that this plane is a U2 Recon-Plane. Would also explain the US presence.

Default And what's this?

Hi Ya'll

what have we got here?

There's a line of black planes that are much bigger than the F18's on the other side. They seem to be Fighterbombers.

Are those FB111 Aardvarks? Are they still in service?

After the form these are F-111.
But all F-111 from the USAF are mothballed at the Davis-Monthan AFB.

Can this be RAAF F-111 on a training mission in Arizona?

The picture is taken at the time, when RED FLAG 2004 was in action. There was a squadron of F-111 from the RAAF. When you go to the end of the parking area , you will see some TORNADOs from the Luftwaffe or RAF.

Yep, that big black plane with the straight wings is definitely a U2 spy plane
