A moat thingy in Iraq which looks like a picture frame.

Are there any US Troops, businessmen, Iraqi citizens, expatriates, locals, or sightseers who know what this is? A little bit to the South-East is some writing in the dirt/sand, that I'm also *very* curious about.

Iraq is a beautiful place! This is the cradle of civilization, and I'm happy that Google Earth helps me explore it without having to travel in these very unsafe times. I would love to see it in person, though.
