** Hacking Google Earth by Dan Butler

Google Earth continues to fascinate everyone here. If you
downloaded the program before 5 August you will want to update
to the latest version with enhanced caching. That should give
you a little better performance.

While surfing the net I came across GoogleEarthHacks.com. Lots
of predefined bookmarks, interesting items people have found on
the maps, additional 3-D buildings and much more. I found a
weather map overlay for my local area. Handy and helps me keep
track of exactly where the bad weather is happening. If you are
using Google Earth give this a try:

The only problem I had was trying to figure out how to use what
I found. I would download the files and then what? So to help
you I made a little multimedia tutorial on using what you find
at GoogleEarthHacks.com. Advanced users will find it old hat but
the rest of you will discover ways to use one of the coolest new
