Tachibanadera Temple

DescriptionRatingInfo
The Birthplace of Prince Shotoku Prince Shotoku was an enthusiastic promoter of Buddhism, who established 7 temples in his lifetime. This temple is one of them, and is thought to be the place Prince Shotoku was born. In the 8th century when the temple thrived, it had 66 halls within its precincts. However, most of these halls have now gone and all that is left of the pagodas are their foundation stones. The precinct also contains a marble stone carved with two human faces expressing good and evil. http://www.pref.nara.jp/nara_e/dd_aspx_itemid-1533.htm
