Pont levant de la rue de Crimée vertical lift bridge

The Crimea Street lift bridge or Flanders Bridge is a bridge located at the intersection of the Bassin de la Villette and the Canal de l'Ourcq, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. It allows the Crimea Street to cross the canal, and connects the quai de l'Oise (north) at the quai de la Marne (south). When the bridge is in action for passing a boat, pedestrians can cross next to a fixed bridge and raised the bridge street Crimea. At the time of its construction, was the third bridge to be built in France, nowadays, this is the last of its kind in Paris. This bridge gave its name to one of four administrative districts of the 19th arrondissement, the area of Pont-de-Flandre, and one of its ten districts councils. The bridge and the bridge are recorded adjacent to historic monuments from a decree of 12 February 1993.
