Holmshus long barrows

Not far away from Over Jerstal at Holmshus is one of Jutland’s most impressive grave sites from the Stone Age. It consists, among others, of two parallel long barrows which are over 100 m long. There is access to a large passage grave, and over the dolmens chamber is a 7 tonnes of heavy support or filler tiles. The construction of dolmens have represented an overwhelming performance at the time – 3200 BC.
