Lake Chapala in Jalisco, Mexico

El Lago de Chapala (Lake Chapala) in Jalisco, Mexico.
It is Mexico’s biggest freshwater lake, and from 1970/80 to 2002 it was getting smaller and smaller because of continued and flagrant use by corrupt officials and illegal pumping. Due to heavy rains, however, the lake has gotten progressively bigger and bigger. The High-Resolution parts in the north of the lake are probably dated from 2002 or 2003.
