Only remaining building after 1755 earthquake in Lisbon

1755, on november 1st at 9:20am, Lisbon was hit by an earthquake with epicenter 200 km. in the Atlantic Ocean. It was followed by a tsunami with waves of 4 stores high. After the quake the city was hit by fires because of open cooking-fireplaces and lamps.
More than 60000 of 250000 people were killed in Lisbon and thousands in the outskirts.
The quake hit when there was an All Saints Day mass in the Carmo’s Convent.
