State museum of Art Stuttgart Germany

The state gallery (Staatsgalerie) was opened 1843. From 1881 until 1887 the old part of the gallery was amplified. The old part ist the building on the left. The new part created by achitect James Stirling was opened 1984. In the old part today you can see art from Lucas Cranach, Fra Angelico, Rubens, Rembrandt, Caspar David Friedrich, Manet, Renoir, Monet and Cézanne. In the new part you can see art of the 20. century from Picasso, Beuys and Schlemmer and many more.
