Mohenjo-daro ruins is located at Sindh province, Pakistan. Mohenjo-daro, the largest settlements of Indus valley civilization was built around 2600 BCE. It was abandoned around 1500 BCE. Rakhaldas Bandyopadhyay, an officer of the Archaeological Survey of India rediscovered it in 1922. Well-known as one of the early urban settlements in the world. The Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt and Crete civilizations existed during the same period. The ruins are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
