The Kattegat Center – Denmarks shark center

Hours of vivid impressions for all the family. Both indoors and out. It’s a chilling experience walking along the glass tunnel and coming face to face with the rays and the huge and awesome sand tiger sharks. On the other hand, helping to prepare food for the fish and the sharks or going crab fishing with our biologists can be fascinating.
There are countless opportunities for learning and play – indoors and out.

Join a virtual diving expedition

In the Kattegatcentret’s new attraction, the diving bell, you can journey several thousand metres below the surface of the ocean. A voyage that will take you through coral reefs, close to whales and sharks – not to mention coming into close contact with the incredible creatures that inhabit the depths. Slightly scary – but hugely exciting.

Dare to dive with the Danish sharks?

We have the diving equipment, and if you want – and if you’ve got the guts – you can come right close to the sharks and fish in the Oceanarium, the Kattegatcentret’s biggest tank holding 1,500,000 litres of water.…a different, individual and, for some, barrierbreaking experience.
